Flowers on the Fences

The Coral vine is flowering profusely on the fences
of gardens now. The Chinese Hat, Holmskioldia sanguinea flowers all through the year. It is a native plant, and has many coloured flowers.

Some people call it Cup-and Saucer Plant.

The violet Petrea is another vine which can be grown as a shrub. It also flowers all through the year.

  1. Hello lotusleaf! I have the Chinese hatplant in orange but currently no flowers as I have just pruned it (now leaves and stems are growing out). I just got a violet Petrea from my sis-in-law. Still waiting for the bloom as well. Your yellow Chinese hatplant is wonderful. The yellow look so unique! I like that coral vine too. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
